Call In Sick – South Coast Punk. Loud, Honest, and Absolutely Unapologetic.
Born out of Portsmouth’s cracked pavements and bad decisions, Call In Sick are a four-piece punk band that play it fast, loud, and without a safety net.
Fronted by Paul (vocals/guitar), with Leighton on guitar, Dan on bass, and Tyler on drums, the band crash together grit, sarcasm, and melody into something that feels as British and as bitter as a pint left out overnight.
Since their first gig at the Isle of Wight’s Kashmir Fringe Festival, Call In Sick have dragged their noise across the South Coast — playing everywhere from dive bars and working men’s clubs to showcase nights and charity fundraisers. They’ve shared bills with Riot City Radio, LOAD, The Appalled, and more, working with promoters like Weekend Offender, Top of the Crops, and Dammit Records along the way.
Every show has the same unfiltered energy — whether it’s ten people or sixty, they play like the floor might give out at any second. From headlining Dammit Records’ Canterbury showcase to raising funds for local causes in Portsmouth, the band have built a reputation for giving a shit about the right things, and none about the rest.
For promoters, expect a tight live set, zero rockstar nonsense, and an audience that might actually buy a T-shirt if it offends their parents.
Recent highlights:

If there’s a plug socket and a half-decent crowd, they’ll make it count.
